I’ll be giving a book talk about my book “You Dream Every Night that I am Home” at Eckley Miners’ Village in northeastern Pennsylvania on Sunday March 8, 2026. I’ll be talking about the people from Eckley mentioned in the letters in the book. They were some of the very first inhabitants of the coal town.

Sunday July 28th, 2024, 12-2PM: Birthday party for the Court House Deer on the lawn of the Luzerne County Courthouse in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Luzerne County and Luzerne County Historical Society celebrated the 157th anniversary of the arrival of the Court House Deer in Wilkes-Barre. I was one of the speakers, and talked about the history of the Deer and my book, “Conversations with the Court House Deer.” The County Council issued a proclamation making July 31st Court House Deer Day.

June 15 & 16, 2024: Eckley Miners’ Village annual Patchtown Days. I gave a book talk at 11AM on Sunday June 16th and for the rest of the event was at a table on Main Street with my books and prints of my artwork of the coal region. There were vendors, performers, great food, and other presentations at the Visitor’s Center. I met a lot of wonderful people and can’t wait for next year’s Patchtown Days!

December 2 & 3, 2023: Book talk and a table with the 3 books in the gift shop at “Christmas at Eckley”. Thank you to everyone at Eckley Miners’ Village who worked so hard to create a such wonderful event!
